I remember going shopping to Bluewater a few years ago with one of my daughters and insisting she bought a lace dress for the festive season as they were so on trend at the time. Fast forward a couple of years and I ask myself, has lace ever really gone out of fashion and the answer has to be a resounding "no".

Lace Dress
£99.
Constantly featured on the catwalk but an area of my wardrobe that was sadly lacking, which is odd as I do love it, so it was a no brainer that when East asked me to choose something from their collection to review, this gorgeous lace dress really jumped out at me, a real wardrobe staple that would surely become my go to evening out dress for many years to come.
Choosing between classic black or the gorgeous fuschia was the most difficult decision I had to make. It really was a case of head ruling heart for once, as the pink could easily be worn for evenings out all year round but as there was a LBD gaping hole in my wardrobe, I had to opt for black, especially with a few Christmas nights out on the horizon.
I adore the shift style, perfect for us apple shapes as it really does skim the tummy but makes for a style that is suitable not just for every body shape but for every age group and could be worn with a tailored jacket or fur bolero, with or without a necklace. I quite like the idea of using a black clutch and adding colour to the outfit with a pair of either cobalt blue or red heels. There are loads of styling options to explore but I like to grab every opportunity to use my turquoise glitter clutch bag, so styled with some black shoe boots for my friends birthday/our Christmas meal out.
I was sorely tempted by the merino tunic dress as a Christmas day option but the lace won out and the day dress goes on my wishlist!
