I first fell in love with the patchwork denim trend when I saw the editorial in Marie Claire magazine (above) and have been nagging my girls to invest in a pair ever since (I'm far too old to rock this look - sadly).

Karen Millen Jeans £99.
However if you are looking for a budget friendly option just check out the HandM version at just £19.99 and if you buy a copy of Aprils Glamour magazine, you get a 25% off gift card - bargain!

Feeling utterly depressed about not being able to wear patchwork denim I spotted a shirt in a John Lewis add?
It was love at first sight and I was hoping it was going to be from their affordable Kin or Collection ranges.
Sadly it's not, its Paul and Joe Sister and not even on the John Lewis website as I type, doesn't it really annoy you when magazines do this or is it just me? I did however find it at my-wardrobe...........

Paul and Joe Sister Patchwork Denim Shirt £125.
Sadly it's a bit out of budget but I am sure you will agree it's a great twist on a classic and perfect for warmer weather when your long sleeve option is just too hot.
Oh well on to the wishlist it goes, waiting for a (huge)code, summer sale or high street alternative.
Are you tapping into the patchwork denim trend this season? Would you feel more comfortable in the shirt than the jeans?
