Not to be associated with Fashion Flu, a headcold which usually occurs in buyers/bloggers after having spent four weeks flying around the world for fashion week. No, my fashion headache leaves me scratching my forehead and wondering what on earth to buy next, not usually a problem I encounter on any level!
Firstly I feel as though I haven't really bought anything lately. Then I reminded myself about the £190 spent at the NAP sample sale just over two weeks ago where three pairs of shoes were purchased with a street value of well over £1,000. See what I did there with the use of the words "street value"? That is because in my book, shoes are like drugs, an addiction of epic proportions, like handbags, oh and sunglasses. So actually I have bought "stuff" but a fortnight is a long time in fashion terms.
Secondly I really want those John Lewis culottes and Marks and the Spencer sleeveless jacket but the problem is I am off for a four day break (my daughters hen do) to Marbella in May (five weeks today in fact - yikes) and also know I am in desperate need of replacing a few items in my holiday drawer which were looking a bit shabby last year.
I even failed to take advantage of the Boden mid season sale to grab a few summer bits with a discount, I just sat back and let it pass me by, am I totally mental all of a sudden? Since when do I not take advantage of a sale or discount? Nutter. But saying that, I got yet another catalogue through the post yesterday offering 11% off which is probably better than the miserly 10% most of the things I wanted were reduced by in the mid season thingy!
So you see my dilemma here, do I bypass the spring wishlist and go head on into full blown summer and holiday attire?
Thirdly I still haven't got my dress for the wedding. I have seen one I really want. It's over £500, so even with my daughters staff dizzy (Claudia speak for discount) it still equates to a lot of money without a hat or bag etc. Can somebody please pass the paracetamol?
While this headache continues the only thing I can think clearly about is having an ebay sale to raise funds. I will have a big sort out at the weekend. Promise. That way if I can make enough money to buy everything I need my headache will finally be gone. Won't it?
