There are so many footwear trends around this season, I haven't even had time to indulge my love of a flat strappy (preferably embellished) sandal. We've had the trainer trend, the skater shoe, the fugly sandal, birkenstocks and now the espadrille is giving every other style a run for it's money.

Naturally the Chanel would be top of my wishlist but at £320, no cigar. Couple this with the fact Chanel shopping friends reliably inform me you'd find it easier to get your hands on Lord Lucan than a pair of rope soled beauties. Oh well one can dream I suppose and there are plenty of other gorgeous options available at all price points, in fact Office have some really cheap ones, 2 for £10 perfect to throw in your holiday suitcase or to keep your teen daughter up with the trend.

Style Note: The Kate Moss Topshop collaboration (her first for four years) launches at Net-A-Porter today if you didn't already know. My daughter has been up close and personal with the garments as they were shot for the website a few weeks ago. She told me she thought it was rubbish. When I questioned her further on the collection this morning she said and I quote "Some of it is nice, but it's overpriced, it is only Topshop after all and I think NAP have downgraded themselves by selling it".
