Supermarket Sweep

I have to confess I rarely buy clothes from a Supermarket. I don't go to our local Tesco very often but when I do, I find the layout and displays of clothing even worse than at Marks and Spencer and that's saying something.  Then I get all annoyed when I see a fellow blogger in some simply brilliant item they threw in their shopping trolley, so apart from a sleeveless dress bought in the heat of the moment (or should I say in desperation during a rather hot and sticky spell last summer) last year, my wardrobe is sadly lacking in bargain buys from the grocery store, until now.

On Wednesday my sister in law suggested we take my mum out to get a wedding outfit at a rather dismal shopping centre called the Savacentre in Gillingham.  The only saving grace of this destination is a decent sized M&S and a massive Sainsburys which actually stocks clothes and a Wallis, other than that the only place worth going is Costa for a little light refreshment mid shop but I happened to stumble across a Breton dress for just £12 in Sainsburys and although I wasn't originally on the hunt for a red and white one, I knew it would fill the stripe dress gap in my wardrobe so promptly snapped it up.

I tried it on when I got back home and honestly felt that I would be far more comfortable in it if only it were an inch or two longer.  Having said that, my hubby assured me that for lazy days indoors and as a possible holiday dress it was fine. I just don't think I will be popping into town wearing it any time soon but other than that I am completely happy with it.

If you are contemplating this purchase remember I am only 5ft 2 1/2 so if you are any taller it will be even shorter.

Have you bought anything from the Supermarket lately?
