New Hair, Don't Care

I've been thinking about having something different done to my hair for a while now. Not only do I bore fairly easily but it grows so quickly and I really have to keep on top of it getting too long to avoid the "mutton" effect. I've had it cut three times this year and on every occassion I have asked for two inches off. That's six inches and we are only in July! I remind myself of a "Tressy" doll I had as a child, I can't remember what you had to do to her to make her hair grow (my memory isn't what it once was) but loved the way the hair spouted out the top of her head!

I didn't want anything done before the wedding in case I hated it or thought it looked too short and silly with my fascinator and then when I looked through Red magazine and spotted the gorgeous woman in the first picture, I knew that was the style I wanted. I would also like her face if that is at all possible.

I worried about the upkeep and the use of ghd's as my extremely thick hair seems to hate them and breaks off at a tangeant even when I only use them once a week but in the hairdressers earlier today, I just thought "in for a penny, in for a pound" and took the plunge regardless. Apparently a Babyliss hair wand does the trick and is kinder to hair, so I may need to invest in one of those pronto! Mine doesn't look as waved as beautiful lady's but my hair is quite heavy so that is probably the reason. I still love it though and it is still long enough to tie up for work and when it's really hot and I need it off the back of my neck!

If you have any tips on great stylers to achieve the sort of waves I'm after, do let me know.

Have you had a few inches off lately?
