I honestly never thought I would be able to say I was writing for anyone, but it's true and it was quite a few months ago that I was first contacted by Marisota and asked to be their "Mother Of The Bride" features writer and I am pleased to report, that finally, the first article I wrote for them just a few weeks before my daughter got married at the end of June, is now live here!
I appreciate it is quite late into wedding season now, I think the setting up of the pages took longer than the brand originally realised they would, but I know from my own daughters wedding in June, that it was last September once church and reception venue were booked that my own dress search began. OK so it took me until the end of April but we won't talk about that!
Hopefully I have written a piece where the advice won't change and mothers of both bride and groom can take inspiration from for many years to come. Because of the blog I am constantly researching and searching for clothes, so was surprised by how difficult it was to find a dress that I felt comfortable in and didn't fall into the frumpy category. I hope I succeeded and perhaps with a little bit of advice from someone who has "been there, done that and most certainly got the t-shirt" other mums can take some inspiration and be a little bit easier on themselves when the outfit search is on!
Thank you to everyone who takes the time to read this blog and for the lovely comments I continue to get, day in, day out, as without you, I'm sure this opportunity would never have come about. x
