or the blogging world. Gosh am I out of the loop or what? Die hard readers may actually remember that I went away on holiday mid May and came back home obsessed by a pleated dress (see last post), well after that, life got just a little bit hectic and as the weeks turned into a month and then two, it isn't hard to understand how I felt out of touch, not only with my own blog, but also those I used to read on a regular basis. The longer this went on for, the more I began to question my little corner of the blogsphere.
I have had a few wobbles before, who wouldn't when you have been doing something you thought you were passionate about for over 4 years, but in some ways the lack of blogging pressure felt good, not just to post on a regular basis, it's not just about that, but I always feel that if somebody is kind enough to comment on some old tosh I have written, then it is just good manners to drop by and say hello in return and I didn't have time for both.
I won't bore you with the details, but aside from lots of things going on with the family, some very good and some bad, I have also been helping somebody out with their business venture. Couple this with the job I actually have to do for a living and wham, my little blog got left way behind.
And you also know what a massive fan of metallics I am and my "they go with everything" mantra. I had a 40th birthday party coming up and with a shoe collection consisting of many pairs I can no longer walk in, the block heel on these bow beauties was very inviting!
And luckily my matching hardware OCD didn't have a chance to kick in when I realised I could pair them with my Anya Hindmarch Valorie! Suddenly gold was very good and the clutch picked up one of the colours in my multi-coloured Cos dress, so it was a win win!
No 40th Birthday Party would be complete without a Cosmopolitan, gold heels and a glitter clutch, well not in my world......
A quick outfit check in the mirror before leaving. Note to self "shut the bathroom door, nobody wants to see your toilet.
So there you have it, I think I'm officially back in the room and would like to say a big thank you to everybody who contacted me to ask if I was OK, it is much appreciated, sometimes life just gets in the way xx

Sale season started and even that failed to ignite my passion for a bargain. Buying my youngest daughters 21st Birthday present early (it isn't until September) put paid to any investment purchases for moi, well at least until I spotted a pair of gold Moschino shoes over at my-wardrobe with 70% off and you all know the saying it would have been rude not to......
