August started with relaxed mornings, lie ins and holiday excitement.The LV Neverfull containing carry on essentials of cardigan and trilby that I didn't want to pack. Sunning myself in Marbella. A lunchtime spritzer in the sun mid shopping trip. Bringing back my favourite sandals from last summer. Jimmy Carr and Charlie in the Jamie Oliver restaurant at Gatwick pre flight.
We arrived back from holiday mid August with a family meal out to celebrate my in laws 50th Anniversary and MIL's birthday. My four children on the right and future son in law on left of picture.
Summer salads help to ease the feeling of holiday over indulgence. Fresh flowers amongst the school and university photos. Re-doing my holiday manicure. Floral display at a friends wedding reception. Anya Hindmarch sequin clutch and Tom Ford's Wild Orchid = night out essentials.
August came to end in a blaze of sunshine which always calls for enriched night time skincare regimes. Topping up the tan whenever I can grab five minutes in the garden. The Pugs lapping up the last of the summer sunshine. Getting ready for the new season with a Blissful Autumn candle. Walks to the local beach are made more enjoyable by passing my favourite cottage. Charlie makes the most of the tide coming in during the last week of the summer holidays before he starts his new term as a Year 8 student.
I can't believe that the school holidays are almost over and autumn is upon us. Horrible.
