An Unlikely Style Icon Wearing Whistles Camo Print Jumper

OK so I sit in awe of Elle McPherson and still can't believe she is actually my age! Then there is SJP, the sort of woman who would look good in a bin bag with a bit of string around her middle.
Victoria Beckham - naturally, this girl has style and class. You only have to look at her tent dress to see she is a trend setter and not a follower of fashion, although the dress was a bit like Marmite in blogging circles, I loved it. Olivia Palermo - nobody does upper east side chic as well as this fashionista.

Then I give you, Janet Street Porter.  Now don't go thinking I have lost the plot, I love Janet, I really do.  Anybody who is in the least bit controversial in their opinions, then I'm a fan whether I agree with them or not, but when it comes to Janet's wardrobe, I've never really taken a lot of notice, which I guess is a good thing as it means I am more interested in what she has to say than what she wears. Until now.
Janet popped up on Loose Women a few weeks ago wearing the green digital print Cos dress I bought in spring and am still totally in love with and suddenly I began to take notice.  The next day, there she is in all her 66 year old glory rocking the Whistles Camo print knit and suddenly I sat up even straighter and thought "hell yeah this woman has style".

I shied away from wearing camo when it first became fashionable at the end of last summer, it felt a bit awkward when my grown up daughters were wearing it but I have completely changed my opinion thanks to Janet, and of course the top is now out of stock in my size (as is the leopard print top I also have on my Whistles wishlist) naturally.
