It's almost Valentines Day, so please forgive me as I have already indulged in something of the heart variety with a cup of tea and very nice it was too, even if a little early!
Went down a treat with the whole family and what a quick and easy hearty winter supper which you could serve with a green salad or crusty bread. You could of course adjust the ingredients according to what you have in the fridge, maybe a leek or some mushrooms, a wilting stick of celery?

This week I've been intrigued by the Winter Sun Travel Outfit prototype currently being developed by Travel Supermarket. If there is enough interest the dual purpose clothing will go into production with children's versions containing a GPS tracker to keep little ones safe. And whilst I am on the subject of food, I am really proud of my mission to create less food waste by using up leftovers and made up a tasty little dish the other day after most of the family failed to turn up for supper one evening and I found myself with 5 leftover sausages. So to use them up the next day I softened an onion and some chopped peppers in a frying pan. Once ready, I added the cold thinly sliced sausages and a tin of chopped tomatoes and cooked through till piping hot, then added the mixture to some pasta, voila!
