Just like you need a collection of different coats in winter, you also need a collection of boots. Ankle boots with a small heel, think Marant Dicker, Ash Jalouse or similar, a classic black leather riding boot, sheepskin boots, Uggs or similar, for when the weather reaches sub zero temperatures, a heritage brand wellington for torrential downpours, dog walks and of course, snow. Another fashion boot which is fast becoming a classic is the biker boot. Mums on the school run and bloggers alike have been buying into this footwear trend the last few winters and as much as I have lusted over their recent purchases and perfect boot styling, it's a trend I had no intention of buying into, I feel a bit old to be honest, but you know me, I can't resist a bargain and if I can still buy and wear strappy heels then why can't I wear a flat boot with a couple of buckles (she says trying to convince herself she needs a pair in her life).
So it was no surprise that when checking out a blogging pal's recent biker boot purchase from the brand, I happened to stumble across these beauties and there is something about them, for me anyway, which makes the trend more wearable and most importantly, age appropriate.
Perhaps it's the built in sock, I don't know, I can't put my finger on it but at full price these would still have been a bargain but with £30 off and at just £49.95, what's not to love if you are looking to rock a spot of "biker chic" this winter?
