The Chill Factor

Is it just me, living down South, who thinks we have had an unusually mild winter so far?  OK, so I know the wind and rain have been relentless for weeks now (I have the fence panels down to prove it) and my lawn looks more like a muddy pig pen than something which is suppose to resemble a garden, but it hasn't really been THAT cold, has it?
We have had the heating on a few times, but only to take the chill off, although it was pretty much on constantly this past weekend, which leaves me convinced me we are not going to get off lightly after all.
We have seen snow in March before and I remember getting sunburnt on an Easter Sunday once (early 80's) so I think the weather has always been weird and completely unpredictable to be honest.

So if your thoughts have already turned to spring and summer trends and new season drops, you may need to think again, because its time to check that wardrobe for cold weather essentials and if you don't have any, think of them as chill factor style staples that will last you for years. Remember you need to be warm indoors, warm whilst travelling to and from work/school run etc and warm whilst you venture out to the supermarket, so here is my cold weather edit, perfect for keeping you warm throughout a frosty, and probably snowy February!
