You may well remember last September when I was offered a pair of Hotter shoes to review. I had been on the look out for a pair of black ballet flats but with a tiny heel as I often find dead flat shoes can make my feet ache if I have them on for to long. My shoes came and I was over the moon with them, the comfort factor really is amazing, so when I was offered the opportunity to learn a little more about Hotter and meet members of the team at an event in London last week, I jumped at the chance, particularly eager to support a brand who actually make their shoes in the UK.

You may have heard of Hotter perhaps because you have seen one of their 66 stores on your local high street, or perhaps your mum is a fan of the brand, another reason I was keen to find out more. I never dismiss a brand based on reputation, I always think you should take a second look, like I did with my ballet flats, as there may well be something that fits your style or interprets current trends, this is certainly the case with Hotter.

Committed to continue with their core collection, the brand are eager to "get with it" and "up the ante" by incorporating current trends with their comfort technology and we saw a selection of eye catching metallics, pastels, florals and a wide selection of styles including everything from a classic tan wedge, this seasons coveted espadrilles in both black leather (as made famous by the Duchess of Cambridge) and florals, pumps and slips ons that would be perfect for beach walks or holidays and 20's inspired shoes that sit perfectly with tea or occasion dresses for those times that you want a bit of a heel but are craving comfort.

It was wonderful to get to chat to the Hotter team and learn so much more about the brand, to meet the girls at Wingfield PR who are all so lovely and to finally meet and spend some time with my long time blogging buddy Sharon over at Thrift My Style and Alyson of Thats Not My Age.

So all in all a fabulous evening at Somerset House and a delicious meal at Tom's Kitchen, did I mention the pork belly on a bed of risotto?

My only dilemma now is to choose a pair of shoes, Sharon already has her metallic wedges which I think will be perfect for me too, I love a bit of embellishment and these will be great for holiday evenings when I want to dress up but don't want something I can't walk in, but then there is the black leather espadrille, I think I could be a while!
