Pied a Terre Cocoon dress still available at House of Fraser was £79 now £39.50. Also available in blue. Face looks shiny, I was hot, sadly I can't afford Botox!
With Sleeves was £69 now £34.50.
I wore a Cocoon dress you may remember I bought with my birthday money last December. It is by Pied A Terre at House of Fraser and has become my "no brainer" dress, just throw it on, add heels and a necklace and your good to go! Probably after Whistles did the first version last summer, lots of brands followed suit. The Whistles was pretty much a sell out, I never managed to get my hands on a larger size so this seemed like a great alternative at a far better price.
Mary Portas Cocoon Dress £99. I honestly might of bought this for the wedding but it's new season! Really like it!
I don't particularly like the fact that it is virtually sleeveless but you can't have everything and if the apple shaped figure is skimmed, it gets my vote, sleeves or no sleeves, although they have since done a version with short sleeves, pictured above! The Cocoon shape is perfect for those trying to conceal a top heavy figure and I read with interest Donna's post about her mum who is an apple shape too and realised I do pretty much everything she describes, I have to or else I would look a complete state!
Mint Velvet Ida Print Cocoon Dress £99.
I know lots of people feel that baggy or loose clothing actually makes them look bigger but you have to give looser styles a try as nothing looks worse than garments which are clinging to parts you would rather hide, so don't be stuck in a rut, give a Cocoon dress a try, they really are surprising flattering on all body shapes, my eldest is a pear shape and has borrowed this dress to wear to a party and looked pretty darn good in it!

Warehouse Denim Cocoon Dress £40.
They are also great for "fat days" and lets face it even the slimmest of women have days when they feel like that! The other thing I really like about them is that they do work with flat sandals so are perfect for holidays too!
Lots of people have asked me about Jumpsuits with sleeves so I thought I would show you the one the "bride to be" wore out. It's from Miss Selfridge but does have a bit of a cut out back so if you are over 45 you might want to avoid, but it looked gorgeous on! I'm not affiliated to Miss Selfridge but here is the link, after all, this blog is called Style At Every Age isn't it!
Is there a Cocoon dress in your wardrobe?
