I can remember when the Alexander Wang Rocco handbag first hit the headlines. It was an instant hit with fashion types and it was love at first sight for me seeing the Net-A-Porter buyers carrying them at New York Fashion Week, a few years ago now.
It was obviously the studs that did it, but you can never pin point why you fall in love with a particular handbag, you just do. It's like men.I loved how this bag was fairly reasonably priced for a designer handbag and remains so today when you struggle to find anything under the £1,000 mark unless it is a designer spin off range like Marc from Marc Jacobs or See by Chloe which are more accessible price wise than the mainline bag collections.

I took it to London Fashion Week in February 2012 and it was whilst in London that a trip to Selfridges saw me ogling the black version with rose gold studs on the base and I have to admit it was totally dreamy and now the Rocco has been updated for this season and I caught sight of the neon versions instore last week and have to admit if orange or lime neon is your thing, these are so cool! Older fashionista's who shy away from wearing colour can easily update their look with neon accessories which look great with a neutral or monochrome outfit.
Unlike when the bags first came out, you can now get a slightly smaller version called the Rockie and save yourself approx £80.

Rockie £649.
Women have often asked about the weight of the bag and I have to admit it isn't light but then none of my bags are because I fill them up with so much rubbish. It's worth its weight in gold to me anyway, I haven't fallen out of love with it at all!
Do you like the Rocco in neon or prefer the more traditional colours?
