Mango Parka With Quilted Detachable Lining £139.99 (also available in black)
Oh god this weather is really doing my head in! I went out on Friday on what looked like a fairly normal day, too hot for a coat so I wore a long cardigan and boots. By mid afternoon when I was walking to a friends from town, the sun came out and I was absolutely boiling, plus I didn't have any sunglasses on me.
By teatime the heavens had opened and we found ourselves in the midst of more thunder and lightening than I had seen for years. Then there was this morning. I had to go to return a parcel, it was raining. Hard. I wore my usual autumn/winter weekend uniform of joggers and trainers and topped it all off with my parka as I needed a hood (my hatred for umbrellas is well documented). I hadn't been out five minutes when it became apparent that although it was tipping it down, it wasn't cold and yet again I was far too hot.

In Sizes 14-24 Mango Violeta Detachable Lined Parka £149.99.
Back in the summer, I featured a parka with a detachable lining in one of my shopping ahead sales posts and although some of my lovely readers bought it, I felt I couldn't justify it and boy am I kicking myself now, it would be just perfect for this inclement weather!

Borg Lined Parka £78 Topshop.
So although I had a bit of an outerwear sale on ebay last year (regretting selling my poncho already) I am in need of more coats and a lightweight coat with a hood or a coat with a detachable lining and hood feel like an autumn essential right now!

Asos Parka With Detachable Faux Fur Lining £80 also available in Tobacco and Khaki.

There doesn't seem to be an awful lot around that is lined but isn't a Parka. I love Parka's, they really are the perfect day time outerwear option that never date and are a real wardrobe staple for anyone still doing the school run.
You can still get the one I talked about in the summer for just £29 here in a size 12 only and here is a picture of the lovely Andrea from www.inmamaswardrobe.blogspot.co.uk wearing hers without the lining.......

Is a coat with a detachable lining something your wardrobe is crying out for this season?
