Something For The Weekend - Inclement Weather & Lots Of Bargains In The Mid Season Sales

Hello my lovelies, thank goodness it's Friday! This weekend I have been rather disorientated and I am blaming the clock change.  I used to think the clocks going backwards or forwards only really affected me when the children were little and their sleep patterns disrupted but for the first time ever, I honestly think they have had an effect on me too! We overslept on Sunday and with nine for lunch the day flew past way too quickly and there I was watching an Agatha Christie when the guests had departed, thinking it was late afternoon because it was still light outside when in fact it was 7pm or some equally stupid time and I feel as though I have spent the whole week playing catch up, can't sleep at night and getting up way too late, which isn't me, so irritates me no end!  Oh well let's hope I get back into some sort of pattern next week as Claudia is back to London interning and my alarm will be set for 6am to make her sandwiches!

Talking about the weather has also become a chore of late and although working from home means I don't have to brave the elements as often as you poor workplace readers (I feel your pain by the way) it still gets me down. The snow flurries yesterday were really thick and fast although nothing settled for long. I made a quick escape in the afternoon to pick up a few bits in the village and am so grateful for the Hunter's when I do have to go out.  No doubt we will go from snow and easterly winds to April showers but I am prepared!

Shellac released four new colours on Tuesday and the following day the two I had ordered arrived and I couldn't resist a very quick try between clients!  The colour I am wearing is called Pink Bikini. If you like Chanel Fracas but want something longer lasting then this would be the perfect summer pink for you.  Grape Gum is a nicer purple than the bottle depicts, not one I would really wear but a lovely soft purple if you are a lover of these shades.

The Mid Season Sales are in full force and if you are anything like me and haven't really bought any summer clothes as yet, now is the perfect time for a wardrobe update, something for your holiday, that perfect outfit for an early summer wedding or the races, with the Aintree festival this weekend and Ascot in early June before the summer sales get going.

I know a few of my fellow fashion bloggers have been talking about classic t-shirts of late, so they might be pleased to know there is 30% off splendid at Donna Ida using code TEES30 until Sunday here.

Baukjen - up to 50% off shop here.

Clarks - shop here.

Oasis - 20% off full price dresses today only until 2pm, use code 05DRESS at checkout shop here.

Botanical Shine Hair Oil
Liz Earle has released a new hair oil to compliment their haircare range.  This can be used on wet hair to protect against heat styling and cuts down on blow drying time.  In addition to this, you can give your a locks a boost mid wash, by applying to dry hair to tame and nourish.  £15 here. I look forward to reading some reviews on this as it's sounds fab and although I haven't got into the whole hair oil thing as yet, this sounds like a product my mature head of hair is crying out for!

Have a lovely weekend xxx
