Whilst I was suffering from the Karen Millen leopard print coat dilemma I talked about in a previous post, a mannequin just inside the entrance of Gap caught my attention. Forever the sucker for a white shirt/classic Trench coat combo, I couldn't resist a closer look.
The Trench was darker in colour than I thought I wanted and I was a bit unsure of the tie belt, convinced I wanted one with a buckle but at less than 60 quid, it was worth a try.
Both items fitted fine. The Trench was quite roomy, a bit heavier than I anticipated. I decided to buy both.
The shirt rang up at £23 instead of £29 and I left the store thinking I could easily take one or both items back and put the money towards the Karen Millen coat if I wasn't 100% sure, until later that same evening when I was doing a bit of Blog reading and saw another blogger in the same coat and realised how strange it is that once you see somebody looking good in an item you are undecided about, you instantly want to keep it, or is that just me? Do check out intotheblonde wearing the same one, you can see the real life colour better than in my quick changing picture.
Apart from the day I went out and bought these two pieces followed by lunch with my daughter, I haven't left the house except for a quick trip to the village co-op, one of the downsides of working from home and being crazily busy I guess, but hopefully I will get a day to road test my new purchases during the Easter break as Charlie informs me he fancies going to either London or Canterbury for a Wagamama's next week!
Oh and the Karen Millen mid season sale started today so I was eager to see if the leopard coat was reduced but sadly not although they do have some other gorgeous pieces if you are looking for a spring wardrobe update. Check it out here.
