At 7.50am and after having been in labour all night long, I gave birth to child number three of four, the last daughter I was to be blessed with, aka Claudia Kitten aka Ribena Berry. My first words on being handed my newborn child were "she looks like a Ribena Berry". This was because she was stuck for quite some time and came out with a purple head (as you do).
Boy, doesn't time fly once you have children. One minute I was buying size 10 clothes and going out every weekend, saying I never wanted kids, then before I knew it, it was all middle aged spread, high cholesterol and teenage tantrums.
I can hardly believe that all my girls are now in their twenty's, working hard to achieve their dreams and having fun, which is what it is all about. All three of them are currently in Ibiza celebrating Claudia's milestone birthday and will be lounging around on sunbeds at Ocean Club as I type. They have learnt from the master, I have always encouraged them to live for today, you only live once so don't have any regrets, blah blah blah.....
My hopes for her future are that after six months interning for the Net-A-Porter group, she will soon land a permanent job and continue to love the industry she has chosen for her career path. I want her to work hard, play even harder and be blessed with good health and happiness always.
Happy 21st Birthday Claudia Channing Gilchriest, Mumma loves you LOADS! XXXX
