It was a few weeks ago that I was asked to choose some pieces to review from the Debenhams autumn and winter collection and with my winter outerwear plans at the forefront of my mind, I was lucky enough to pick a coat, along with jeggings and a jumper from the Designers at Debenhams section.
First up I chose the Red Herring Parka as I loved the fairisle design hood lining. A parka was top of my wishlist so I was thrilled to find a style I liked that wasn't too long.
Next up a pair of jeggings from Wallis. I have never tried jeggings or jeans from Wallis before and I really like them. Fab fit and quality fabric, who said I usually avoid any items with a side zip? I now want them in every colour!
Leopard print features heavily in my accessories collection but not so much in my clothing, so it was no surprise that I was drawn to the 100% cotton zip back leopard jumper from the Star by Julian McDonald range. I can't bear jumpers that are too heavy and chunky and much prefer something lighter weight that can be layered over either a shirt or t-shirt and with a scoop neck and lower back dipped hem, this will work the winter layers perfectly once the temperature drops.
I took my new outfit out for a spin on an appointment at my daughters wedding reception venue to meet the florist, hence the picture on a bridge over a stream with a barn behind - gosh I feel like a real fashion blogger, posed pictures with a half decent back drop, whatever next! Although a photography lesson wouldn't go a miss, staring down at the photo taker is so not a good look, next time I shall be looking up and remember to take my glasses off, you'd think after four and a half years of blogging, I'd have cracked it by now!
Just think, next time you see this bridge my eldest and her new husband will be standing on it - so exciting!
Are you working your way through your winter wishlist?
